Description
Zoysia is a premium warm-season turfgrass known for its dense growth, rich green color, and exceptionally attractive appearance. It forms a thick, carpet-like lawn that creates a clean, manicured look and is a popular choice for homeowners who want a high-end finished landscape.
Zoysia thrives during the warm spring and summer months and performs especially well in Tennessee’s transition-zone climate. It offers better shade tolerance than Bermuda grass, while still performing best with plenty of sunlight, making it a versatile option for properties with varying sun exposure.
Its dense growth pattern helps create a thick, durable turf that stands up well to everyday foot traffic and naturally helps crowd out many weeds once established. Zoysia is also known for its ability to develop a strong root system and maintain an attractive lawn through Tennessee’s summer conditions.
As temperatures cool in late fall, Zoysia naturally enters dormancy and turns tan before greening back up in the spring.
For homeowners looking for a dense, beautiful, premium lawn with excellent durability and versatility, Zoysia is one of the best turfgrass options available in Middle Tennessee.
